Google Lens, Bolo App Gets added Indic Language Support
At the Google for India event today, Google has revealed added Indic language support for Google Lens and the Bolo app. Now, Google Lens users now translate text in Tamil, Telugu, and Marathi, though Google Bolo App has added support for Bangla, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. From now, Bolob App users can make use of these added Indic languages support to
translate and read out loud.
In Addition, the team of Google Bolo app has also increased its content pool by together with publishers alike Chota Bheem and also Katha Kids. Now, Google has added support for three added Indic languages – Tamil, Telugu, and Marathi as well. Now, users can search for information, ask questions and translate text by pointing their phone's camera at posters, signs, books, or pamphlets. Google Lens must be able to translate the text to these newly added languages effortlessly.
Moreover, Google Lens is capable to translate text in the similar font, font size, and color to make it a more seamless and less jarring experience, and it also reads it out loud, for users who aren't able to read. Additionally, the Bolo app launched previously this year also receives added Indic language support. The new languages include Bangla, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. The speech-based reading-tutor app planned at rural kids, it is also increasing its content pool by partnering along with publishers like Chotta Bheem and Katha Kids.
Since launch, Google Bolo app has handled to already help 800,000 young Indians to read stories more than three million times and it speaks half a billion words. Along with, Google also increased language support in the Discover news feed app. It imported support for Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, and Malayalam, and confirmed that Oriya, Urdu and Punjabi support will follow soon.
